No one seeks the storm. We all long for paths without thorns, free from the heavy shadows of wrong decisions, far away from suffering and pain. It is the universal desire of humanity, we all want to escape suffering, undo wrong choices, and push away the pain of life. And yet, reality tells a different story. Each of us inevitably carries these burdens day after day, for a lifetime, marked by a deep uncertainty that accompanies us like a heavy cloak. Step by step, until our very last breath.Finding our way in this world is like a quiet dance on broken glass. It is the lifelong attempt to make peace with our own wounds. It means granting the bad things a place without losing our own center.Yet, while we learn to brave the cold on the outside, the soul guards a precious treasure within: our own inner child. It is the origin of our wonder, the place where hope resides and trust lives. Our true purpose in life is not to build a hard shell around ourselves. It is to gently harbor this child and shield it from the bitterness of the world. We must protect its innocence with our own hands, like a small, flickering candle in the wind. For only if this light outlasts the suffering will our hearts remain ready to feel the beauty of the world.

Nearly everyone considers themselves unique at some point in their lives. In reality, however, we often act like sheep—following the herd and moving wherever the collective leads. We were never designed for total isolation, nor were we meant to lose ourselves in monolithic crowds; historically, humanity thrived in close-knit tribes and villages rather than sprawling modern metropolises.
Modern conveniences have detached us from our core nature. While contemporary privacy fosters the ideal of the fiercely independent individual, it simultaneously breeds an epidemic of loneliness and depression.
Even so, our personal journeys allow us a subtle individuality, just as every sheep in a flock possesses its own distinct traits. In this painting, each sheep is rendered uniquely to reflect that individuality within the collective. Positioned in the center is the Mongolian Ulzii knot—a symbol of eternity, prosperity, and unity—serving as a reminder that true strength lies not in standing apart, but in coming together.
